I destinati ad essere morti (Destined to be dead) - a term coined by poet Pier Paolo Pasolini while describing the new generation born after WW2. This film takes place on real locations situated in North-Eastern Italy, documented by a mix of 35mm photographs, drawn animation and videotape.
Destined to be dead explores the psychology of a boy investigating his identity, within the place where he was born. In this strange world realism and fiction are switched, by having animated sequences as reality, and photographic sequences as the imaginary world.
